A Living Room for Our Living Archive (Copy)

This Archive created by the Matanigasau Story Project, is a collection of stories and artworks, told and created by Pacific Islander Storytellers and Artists throughout California. It’s a living archive that is constantly in process, breathing, learning, and growing! This project is also the first of its kind dedicated to NHPI (Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander) communities living in diaspora.

Come visit the creators in their living room to engage with a Pacific Islander Living Archive in progress! Hear some of the stories contributed, and witness the works of art created in response to this storytelling project.

Fresno Candidate Forum

Join the Fresno Candidates from Districts 1, 3, and 7 for a community forum where attendees can hear more about each candidate and their views on important issues for the upcoming elections. This event will also be live streamed by Porque Quiero Academy, for those who cannot physically come to the space. Doors will open at 4:30pm, forum will begin at 5:30pm followed by a social hour at 7:30pm over at Summer Fox. Voter registration will also be available on-site. This event is hosted by Dulce Upfront in collaboration with Together Across America. All ages, free, and open to the public.

Restitched by Xitlaly: A Sewing Workshop

Beginner sewing workshop taught by Xitlaly (@restitchedbyxo on instagram). Students will be learning machine basics in a friendly hands on environment. Workshop includes sewing machine (to use during), tools, thread, and instruction. This workshop has 3 different start times/sessions: 11am-1pm, 4pm-6pm, 6pm-8pm, and is $55 per adult, $45 per kid (age 7-17).
